Fostering student entrepreneurship and driving social change through impactful initiatives.
At Hult Prize Pharos, we believe in the power of youth to shape a better future. We empower students to develop innovative and sustainable business solutions that tackle the world’s most pressing challenges — all starting right here at Pharos University in Alexandria.
We’re more than just a competition — we’re a community of dreamers, doers, and changemakers. Through our events, workshops, and real-world experiences, we ignite passion, build skills, and turn ideas into action.
The Hult Prize is the world’s largest student competition for social impact, held in partnership with the United Nations. It challenges university students around the world to create startups that solve urgent global issues such as poverty, education, climate change, and healthcare.
At Pharos University, the Hult Prize journey started for the very first time — and it was nothing short of inspiring. With passion and vision, we launched our first-ever season, laying the foundation for a strong and lasting impact.
Led by our Founder and Campus Director, Mostafa Mohamed Zaalouk, and Deputy Amira Kamal, the team brought the competition to life through a series of meaningful initiatives that empowered students and sparked innovation across campus.
We proudly ranked 8th nationwide in Egypt with 19 registered teams, proving the extraordinary potential of our students and their ability to lead with creativity and purpose.
As part of our mission to empower youth, we also engaged in top-tier national events like the Egypt Career Summit, Team Shift, and Techne Summit, and hosted impactful training sessions in Software Testing, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity in collaboration with The British University in Egypt and Orange.
Every year, students from universities across the globe take on the Hult Prize Challenge. Here’s how it works:
